What is mailmyfood.com?
Mailmyfood.com is a food and food related only, e-commerce, multi-vendor website which enables vendors to offer their products to mailmyfood.com’s visiting customers. In exchange for the customers purchase, mailmyfood.com keeps a small percentage of the vendor’s sale price to cover, merchant, marketing and several other costs to run the website. Our goal is to connect producers and/or manufacturers with customers that for one reason or another don’t have easy access to their goods, or who wish to have the ease of choices at their fingertips.
Do I have to create an account?
Unlike several websites you do not have to create an account to look around, but to purchase a product you do need to create an account. Mailmyfood.com offers several tools that can only be managed or used when you have created an account.
How do I create an account?
By clicking Create an Account at the top of the Home Page; you will be prompted to answer some questions. Some are required others are not. Please follow through. You will be asked to create a password. It must be between 8 and 16 alphanumeric characters long (letters and numbers with at least one of each) you may use upper case and special characters if you wish, but it is not required. After you finish you will receive a confirmation to the e-mail address you provided. Your full name will never be publicly displayed, only your first name or your user name (maximum 16 alpha-numeric characters only). You will need your e-mail address and password to log in again, please make sure you are able to remember them.
What is the benefit of creating an account?
Mailmyfood offers, to keep a record of your purchases, so if in the future you wish to re-purchase the same product you enjoyed, it will be easy for you to find and add to your cart. We will also keep track of products you add to your wish list in case you want come back and purchase them. You will be able to share separate wish lists with family and friends, which comes in handy for party planning, family reunions or letting them know what you might like to have at home when recuperating from surgery or just because!
How can I change the information in my account?
On your “My Account” page you will have several options. It is good practice to keep your settings up to date. If you have address’ you don’t ship to any longer, please delete them.
What happens if I forget my password?
When you try and log in, if you do not remember your password, you will see the following: “I forgot my password”. Please click on it and follow the prompts.
Is mailmyfood.com free?
It is free for customers and vendors to create an account. You will how ever need to pay for the products, shipping fees and packaging options (if you chose any) of what you are going to purchase. Vendors must pay a small fee at the moment their products are sold, but there is no sign up fee for them as well.
Why can’t I purchase a single item below $10 dollars?
We want to make the experience a memorable one for you. While you might find products here at a slightly lower price than elsewhere, we are aware that you will have to pay for shipping, which will bring that price up slightly. It would be disconcerting to pay more for shipping than the actual item in itself. By limiting a purchase from a single provider to USD $10 or more, you are easing the shipping costs if it means buying two of the same item or a bundled package that includes the product you were looking for.
I don’t see products on MMF (mail my food) that I have tried before. How can I ask you to carry them?
We would love to hear from you, and will do our best to carry all your favorites. Please write to us at customerservice@mailmyfood.com with the complete name of the product, who manufactures it, if possible an address, e-mail or phone number, which is generally printed on the label or back of the package. If it is imported, by whom, or who distributes it. Sending us as much information as possible will help us find your products. If you can only provide us with the name and who manufactures it, send that to us and we will do our best to find it. We offer no guarantees, but we will most certainly do our best.

Why are so many products not returnable?
It’s the nature of food. Many of our items will have a short shelf life. Some will even be done to order for you. The product will take time in reaching you, and by the time you decide you don’t want the unopened product, its shelf life will be badly compromised. Vendors should not take the loss for this situation, but ultimately it is up to each individual vendor if they do or do not accept returns. Please make sure you understand the vendor’s return policy as well as their estimated time of shipping, posted on the product page before adding the item to your cart. Additionally because this is food, we cannot receive returns of opened items. Please read the description of the product well before you make your purchase. You will find a list of ingredients, the nutritional label as well as any allergenic information. MMF makes an effort to provide its customers with as much information as possible so that you can make informed decision on your purchase choice.
What happens if I did not like a product I purchased and tried?
We hope you understand that this can happen and that it will be no different from normal grocery shopping. There is a bit of a gamble, since it is food. We suggest you to read all the related information for each product before you make your decision to purchase it. We encourage customers to leave reviews of products they have bought through MMF. When doing so, we take into consideration that taste can be subjective due to many aspects such as cultural ones, and/or low tolerance to salty, sweet or spicy food, so we ask of you to first provide us with this information by answering a few short questions. We ask that you to be thoughtful and open about your tastes in your review. MMF will not tolerate any reviews which are rude, contain profanity or include propaganda of any type.
What happens if I receive the wrong item?
Please contact Mail My Food immediately so we can either have the vendor ship the correct product to you or so we can issue you a refund.
Can I exchange a returnable product for another one?
No. Mail my food allows returns at each vendor’s sole discretion but does not exchange products.
Can I buy more than two dozen of one item?
Yes you can. Please, click on the button “Want More”? just below “quantity” and follow the prompts. We will communicate with the vendor and figure out the logistics for this. We will get back to you with price and shipping expenses as soon as possible.
Can I purchase several products but have them sent to a different address other than my billing address?
If you want several items to be sent to multiple different addresses (for example: you want to buy an item for yourself and an item to be shipped to a family member as well), you will need to purchase those items separately in two different orders.
How can I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
You need to log into “My Account” and click on “Newsletter Subscriptions” located in the menu to the left of the page. Please allow two to three weeks for it to take place.
